Multi-Skilled Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location- Commutable from Beverley, Barton, Brigg, Bridlington, Cottingham, Driffield, Hessle, Hornsea, Hull, Goole, Market Weighton, Willerby.

Company Information

My client is part of a worldwide manufacturing group who supply to industries all over the world. They are currently recruiting for a shift Multi-skilled fitter.

You must have the following:

  • Must have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship either in Mechanical Engineering or M/S Engineering
  • Must have worked in an industrial / factory / manufacturing based environment before.
  • Must have good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ideally have some basic electrical skills as a minimum (with evidence/certification of training in this area)
  • Any experience with welding and machining would be advantageous.


The successful candidate will be working a 36 hour working week which consist of working three 12 hour shifts per week on a 2 week rotation.

 The role will be predominantly Maintenance both reacting to break downs and also carrying out essential PPM. The machinery is bespoke to their industry and includes a mix of older heavier machinery and also some faster paced automated equipment. The company are currently undergoing a series of machinery improvements and CI Initiatives so the successful candidate may also get involved in some project work. The successful candidate will need to have good Mechanical skills and some electrical skills as at time they could be the only person on shift. As part of the role there may also be some welding and machining required.
