JOB TITLE: Draughtsperson / Mechanical Design Engineer

COMMUTABLE FROM: Anlaby, Barton, Beverley, Bridlington, Brough, Cottingham, Driffield, Hull, Hessle, and Hedon

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £25k-£35k dependant on experience, Pension, 22 days Holiday


COMPANY INFORMATION: A manufacturing company that has become well established on the marketplace over the last 50 years, that supplies and installs home improvements as well as manufacturing for the construction industry.



  • Must have a good understanding of 2D & 3D works.
  • Must have AutoCAD experience.
  • Ideally some Inventor experience, but those with other 3d design experience will be considered
  • Must have attention to detail



The successful applicant would be responsible for producing general arrangements, detailed designs for multiple contracts. The ability to work from site surveys and existing client drawings to produce 3D layouts and detailed component drawings as required is essential. In addition, producing general arrangement drawings that include accepted standards of operability, maintainability and always meet health and safety requirements. The role will also include the preparation of 2D manufacturing drawings for both standard items and bespoke fabrications. You will be generating new product designs and modifying existing designs for customers. All of this will require self-motivation and experienced in the use of Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD to produce designs and would work in conjunction with the existing project team, although training can be provided.
