Salary and Benefits

£15,268-£17,023 + 33 days holidays including stats + Lots of Overtime at time and a half + Bonus

Long term contract role with a view to going Permanent after 18 months for the right candidate

My client is an award winning   manufacturer in a specialist and growing market that supply to a range of different industries including Automotive, Plastics, Food and Drink, Steel and Pharmaceutical. They have just moved to a new purpose built factory with double the shop floor space and new improved working areas and equipment.  The role will be working Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with some flexibility required during busy spells.

You must have the following:

  • You must have Soldering experience
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Must have experience of hand tools and being able to strip machinery down and then re-build it
  • Must be flexible to do a range of jobs within the Service department
  • Must take real pride in your work
  • Must be a fast learner
  • Must be able to follow set procedures and guidelines
  • Must have basic IT skills
  • Ideally have some form of manufacturing, assembly or engineering experience
  • Ability to work to production targets and KPIs


The successful candidate will be working within the Service department and will be assisting the Service Team in responding to machinery breakdowns. The role is likely to be Mechanically biased, but there will be some electrical work involved with bits of soldering.


    Unpacking of returned goods
    Disassembly of Power Supply Units covers etc. (lots of screws)
    Reassembly of Power Supply Unit covers etc.
    Connecting Power Supply Units to test equipment for burn
    Inspection After burn in test
    Labelling / cleaning of various components as part of the refurbishment process.
    Mechanical repair of laser systems and Power Supply Units
    Plus providing and extra pair of hands for other tasks as and when required

Soldering as required
