Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer /Electrical Draughtsperson

 

Location: Commutable from Hull, Beverley, Goole, Grimsby, York and Scunthorpe

 

Salary and Benefits: £35,000 - £40,000 + Pension + 22 days holiday

The client is a well-established and continually expanding Engineering Company that provides Electrical solutions on a global scale to a variety of industries.

 

 

You must have the following:

 

  • Previous experience working within a similar environment and drawing office
  • Electrical draughting experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Proficient AutoCAD skills
  • Working knowledge of switchboards and control panels
  • PLC experience preferred
  • Must be confident speaking to clients and doing bits of project management
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office

 

The successful candidate will be required to undergo security clearance and UK baseline security standard clearance.

 

Role Information:

 

The successful Electrical Draughtsperson will be joining an established team of Technicians and Designers draughting switchboards and control panels for the offshore, marine and renewables industries working from electrical schematic diagrams. The candidate will be required to provide full electrical designs from client provided specifications. This could include the full package of deliverables for each individual project include schematic diagrams; general arrangement drawings of cabinets/switchboards; parts lists; test reports; operating & maintenance manuals; specification of equipment requirements. The drawings are presently produced using AutoCad, however, my client are evaluating other software packages (Eplan / AutoCad Electrical etc.) Setting to work will be an integral part of the position, and this may include both overseas and off-shore working, whilst off-shore working certification would be an advantage, this is not essential as the company will provide the appropriate training.

This training will initially be undertaken on a “paired” system working alongside one of the clients experienced engineers.
