Company Information:

My client is a market leading company who operate in a specialist market who supply to a wide array of different industries. The site is quite large and has 3 different parts to the factory which varies from modern state of the art machinery to some quite old more traditional heavier equipment and machinery. To manage an increased volume of orders my client needs to add a further 2 Electrical Technician to their existing team to work on a 4 on 4off shift pattern which includes days and nights.


You must have the following:

  •  Must have experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technicia
  •  Must have served a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • Must have some multi skilling capability
  • Must have worked in a FMCG environment
  • Must have excellent PLC fault finding and interrogation skills, ideally Siemens.
  • Must have excellent Inverter skills
  • Must be a problem solver with excellent fault finding skill
  • Must have some experience of PPM and/or TPM and Continuous Improvement
  • Ideally have some experience with Instrumentation
  • Must be prepared and fully flexible to work 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4off shift pattern including days and nights


Role Information:

The position will be working on various equipment which includes conveyors, extrusion equipment, silos, boilers, inspection systems and sorting equipment. The electrical technician will focus mostly on reactive and pre-planned maintenance on 1st and 3 phase electrics, carrying out electrical FFR on drives, testing, rewiring motors, replacing sensors, working on Siemens S7 PLCs and also some basic Scada work. It is essential that candidates are also prepared to get involved in mechanical repairs and maintenance as this is a multi-skilled position.  The successful candidate will also get involved in helping the projects team with new installations and CI initiatives.
