JOB TITLE: Draughtsperson / CAD Technician

COMPANY INFORMATION: A manufacturing company that has become well established on the marketplace over the last 50 years, that supplies and installs home improvements as well as manufacturing for the construction industry.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Must have AutoCAD experience.
- Must have knowledge of building regulations
- Ideally some 3 D knowledge, but this can be taught in house
- Must have attention to detail
- Must have experience working as a design engineer, CAD Tech or Draughtsman in one of the following sectors : Curtain Walling, Windows, Glazing, Aluminium Fabrication, Cladding, Modular, Offsite Buildings and general construction
The successful applicant would be responsible for producing general arrangements, detailed designs for multiple contracts. The ability to work from site surveys and existing client drawings to produce 3D layouts and detailed component drawings as required is essential. In addition, producing general arrangement drawings that include accepted standards of operability, maintainability and always meet health and safety requirements. The role will also include the preparation of 2D manufacturing drawings for both standard items and bespoke fabrications. You will be generating new product designs and modifying existing designs for customers.
