My client is an award-winning   manufacturer in a specialist and growing market that supply to a range of different industries including Automotive, Electronics, Medical, Plastics, Food and Drink, Steel and Pharmaceutical.

Due to a huge influx of orders and the afternoon shift growing further my client is now looking to appoint a Manufacturing Support Engineer to work on a permanent afternoon shift working between 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday.

You must have the following:

  • Must be able to work a PERMANENT 2pm-10pm shift on a weekly basis
  • Must be able to carry out fault finding on Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Faults
  • Must have Electrical/Electronic qualifications
  • Must be able to read circuit diagrams
  • Must be a problem solver and have a creative flair
  • Must be a good team player
  • Must be a fast learner
  • Must be able to follow set procedures and guidelines
  • Must have good IT skills
  • Ideally have some form of design experience whether this be Mechanical Design, Electronics, Software or PLC Knowledge

My client will consider candidates from a wide range of backgrounds including technology-based production environments, maintenance backgrounds, facilities, Electronics, Service Engineers, Aerospace, Testing etc.


A hands-on technical role providing front line support for manufacturing infrastructure, production build lines and facilities during the second working shift (permanent afternoon through evening working). The post holder will be working in a team of 4. The repairs could range from water systems, heating, ovens, vacuum systems, test beds, power supplies and other general facilities.


 In addition, project work will be undertaken to facilitate the introduction of new products from R&D/Engineering to the Production facility. This is a diverse role and will involve fault finding, machine maintenance, calibration, working on test rigs and getting involved with Design and improvement projects.
