JOB TITLE: Day Operator (Monday – Friday – 40 hours)

 

COMMUTABLE FROM:  Hertfordshire

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £20K & excellent benefits

 

COMPANY INFORMATION: My client is a leader in the operation of gasification power stations. They are looking to recruit Day and Shift Operators for a newly built station. The processing of waste combined with a steam turbine will generate circa 10MW of electricity. The operation of this facility will reduce waste heading to a landfill site.

 

 

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Ideally previous experience or working in an engineering, operations or maintenance environment. Experience of driving and operating forklift trucks would be an advantage although not essential. Strong HSE awareness. Strong Team Player.

 

 

ROLE INFORMATION:

Traffic Management within the plant

 

  • Heavy plant operation
  • Operations of forklift trucks, overhead cranes and any other machinery as required.
  • Loading and unloading operations
  • Assisting with all plant shutdown activities
  • Front line basic maintenance activities
  • Inspections of delivered waste
  • Risk assessments
  • General Housekeeping
  • Continuous monitoring of the plant to minimise environmental impacts
