Based in East Yorkshire Commutable from Barton, Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham, Doncaster, Driffield, Hessle, Hull, Goole, Grimsby, Market Weighton, Pocklington, Scunthorpe, York.

Company Information


My client a leading OEM manufacturer is currently on the lookout for an additional lean and Kaizen Engineer to join their team. The firm operates in a niche market and are expanding at a rapid rate. This role can offer both long term stability and the chance to advance your career with the business and progress further. The client is an award-winning business and supply to a range of industries including Aerospace, Food and Drink, Plastics, Automotive and Fashion. The business produces high value / low volume products to these sectors.


You must have the following:


  • Must have experience of working in a Lean or Process Improvement
  • Must have experience of Kaizen
  • Must have experience or at least an understanding of the typical improvement processes including 5S, 8D, PDCA, 5Y, VA/NVA, 8 Wastes, Kaizen, Flow, line balancing, Standardisation, CAPA etc.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be confident interpreting and analysing stats and data
  • Must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Must be a true team player and be able to work with various personalities and departments across the business












This is a new role strengthening our Process Improvement and Control department within the business. The successful candidate will have experience of leading change and improvements across operations. You will be working closely with the CI and Lean Manager and Operations Manager with a key focus on reducing waste and increasing efficiency across the business.


Typical Duties


To support and facilitate continuous improvement activities in all areas of the business.


 · Lead, organise and facilitate Kaizen events.

· Identification of waste within the business and subsequent change work to minimise or eliminate.

 · Practical hands-on approach to improvement work within the business.

· Development and maintenance of improvement metrics and measures.
