YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Must have a joinery background
  • Must have experience of managing multiple Projects
  • Must have experience of working as a Contracts Manager/Project Manager
  • Must be able to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Must have  excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Must have a driving license
  • Must be CSCS registered
  • Ideally be HNC/ HND/ Degree Qualified
  • Ideally have SMSTS

 

 

ROLE:

The Contracts Manager will be running a variety of jobs across the North of England with typical contracts adding up to £2 million. The Contracts Manager will have overall responsibility for the Site Managers and Supervisors.  The work can vary across Schools, Colleges, Universities, Student Accommodation, Nursing Homes and Bespoke Projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple live allocated projects
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients throughout the construction process
  • Attend pre-start and progress meetings on site
  • Oversee the management of Health & Safety and Quality on projects
  • Ensure project Health & Safety documentation is current
  • Produce Inspection & Test Plans
  • Manage the project handover process from Estimating to Production
  • Plan projects (including labour levels)
  • Monitor programme and produce progress reports
  • Act as second point of contact for the client (after the company site manager)
  • Control commercial aspects of a project and work to budgets provided
