  • Our client is a leading supplier of Building Products to the Construction Industry
  • They are the looking to recruit a Product Designer to joiner their team on a permanent basis


You must have the following:


  • Must have experience working in Product Design for the Construction industry   
  • Must have experience of 3D Design Software
  • Must be degree qualified in Product Design or a Design discipline


Role Information:


Reporting to the Development and Technical Director, the successful Product Designer will be responsible for research, design and project management in relation to new products.  The Product Designer will also be responsible for developing and providing technical support for existing products. Duties will include;


  • Researching the current market and investigating changes in the construction industry to identify new product opportunities
  • Establishing design briefs and putting together design specifications to help with the design process
  • Using both 2D and 3D CAD software to develop ideas into commercially viable products
  • Provide technical drawings and other documentation to support products through the manufacturing process
  • Writing technical literature and fitting instructions
