My client is the UK’s leading producer of Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregate (IBAA), providing the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors with a sustainable alternative to primary aggregates.  They have a number of long term service contracts with major blue chip organisations and are growing rapidly, adding four new sites to their existing eight in 2016, with further growth plans in 2018/19.

 

Role Information:

 

In support of their growth plans, my client are looking to expand their sales team with this new and exciting position of Internal Sales Representative. Based in West Yorkshire, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with and in support of the external sales teams across the UK to promote business growth, achieving regular sales in accordance with volume and price targets. This will require establishing relationships with new customers, developing them with existing customers, understanding the market and technical specification requirements and continually seeking out new opportunities and converting them into orders.

The successful candidate also be responsible for assisting in setting up new accounts and with the ongoing credit control of existing customers. Provide regular updates to sales reporting systems and ensure these are kept up to date and accurate, providing information to the environment team as required. The Internal Sales Representative will also assist in securing appropriate haulage capacity when necessary.

 

You must have the following;

 

  • Previous successful sales / account management experience in the construction products sector – preferably aggregates.
  • The successful candidate will be great at dealing with people – particularly at building relationships.
  • The ability to understand specifications and to competently demonstrate compliance whilst being an excellent communicator, in writing and face-to-face.
  • Computer Literacy with an in depth knowledge of Market Intelligence Tools and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, methodical, persistent, confident and articulate, accurate and flexible.
