Engineering Stores Person / Stores Admin Assistant

 

Commutable from Brigg, Caistor, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Grimsby, Lincoln, Market Rasen, Newark, Retford, Scunthorpe, Wragby

 

Salary and Benefits: £20,000 + Pension + Overtime

Company Information:

My client is a market leading company who operate in a specialist market who supply to a wide array of different industries.

 

You must have the following:

 

-          Must have experience working in an Engineering Stores background

 

-          Must have excellent IT Skills including Excel

 

-          Must have attention to detail

 

-          Ideally have an FLT licence

 

-          Ideally have experience of SAP or a recognised Warehouse Mgt System

 

-          Must have excellent organisation skills and  have a customer-focused approach to stores

 

-          Must have worked in an Engineering or FMCG background

 

Role Information:

The role combines the day to day operations of the main stores, goods in, goods out, stock movement, reordering, stores organisation, maintaining stock availability, organising equipment repairs, ensuring all transactions are completed on the SAP system along with directly supporting the parts buyer role in delivering an efficient & cost effective stores operation to the wider business. You will be expected to meet supply chain objectives, which include challenging cost and lead time reduction.

 

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Manage the stores system in SAP including min stock levels and reorder levels.
  • Manage the Store inventory and stock rotation
  • Control the distribution of parts in and out of Store
  • Replenish parts/materials in line with company inventory holding policy
  • Create purchase requisitions/orders
  • Establish effective relationships with suppliers
  • Source new/alternative parts as required by budget holders
  • Conduct cycle counts/stock counts
  • Produce and distribute inventory management information
  • Proactively collaborate with Operations colleagues on new projects
  • Review processes and drive changes for improvements
  • Maintain and update supplier information within SAP
